Default V6 Exhaust (in California)

Does anyone know what will pass smog in california? I was thinking about getting the mac catted h-pipe and some gt catback, but I don't know if I can do anything but a cat-back.

I'm planning on gettin the MAC catted H as well, along with the MAC catback, and I think thats good for smog, the pipes' got cats so I dont see why not, especially with a V6. I live near SAC, too, so I could find a corrupted smog center pretty easily.

Your perfectly ok with the catback (not sure if the GT cat back will work on your v6, but I don't know anything about 6's.).

You MIGHT pass the sniffer test with the catted h-pipe, but if your county has a visual test along with the sniffer test your screwed. Your stock h pipe has 4 cats and an aftermarket h pipe only has 2 so that's how they get you on the visual inspection. Just keep your stock h pipe and put it back on if you need to. That's what I'm doing.

so a performance catted h-pipe will not bolt on or weld on after the pre-cat's? it replaces the 4 with only two cats? Because my county I believe does have a visual test. I'll have to check into it. I may be able to find someone that will "pass" me for the visual test.
