well i think if you have 5k to spend then pretty much everyone is going to tell you to get a supercharger or turbocharger . . . so there i was the first.

simply put, supercharger... there are built in advantages, but one of the big ones is it is cheaper... but a turbo is more rare... and will most likly run you over 5k... but oh man... the whine of a supercharger is beautiful... from inside the car... i want to go steal my brother's KB GT and take it for a ride with the top down...

suzpekt 05-28-2006 10:23 AM

wuts the prices of both ?? and how much HP does each one add?

95bstallion 05-28-2006 11:58 AM

go to www.tmaturbo.com andy makes some powerful turbos. try vortech, and procharger for superchargers.

matrixpuba 05-28-2006 12:18 PM

or you could put it on the bottle

dannyb785 05-28-2006 12:21 PM

in case you were wondering, the s/c would void most of your warranty of mechanical parts(well, engine, tranny, rear end, etc) so keep that in mind. But for under $5k you can get a s/c that would beat us GT's. I think http://www.supersixmotorsports.com has good stuff for a sixer

for a cheaper price, get gears and nitrous. You'd also whoop some GT's with that

Yes, but the bottle runs out. Supercharger is there whenever you want to push the peddle to the floor. Andy's turbo kit runs 4.4 psi on stock injectors and you will see almost a 70 hp gain. With gears and that you can run with n/a cobra guys.

dont want to much gear with a turbo setup. turbos like to be under a load.

TClark22 05-28-2006 03:28 PM

just get a procharger...it will give you the most horsepower for your buck and you do not have to tap into the oil pan like you would with a vortech

s/c > turbo...just my opinion because i think turbo is for import and s/c for domestic...that is unless its a full on TT, then its ok (Teal_beast...owning lives when its done)

i think i was quoted 4200 for a procharger with install and tune i believe...but that was like a year ago i got a quote

or you could give me ur 5 grand and i could procharge my six...all i have is 1300$

good luck man...and i am really suprised non of you GT boys said buy a GT...hmm has the site changed?

matrixpuba 05-28-2006 03:38 PM

On a 3.8 turbo is the all around best setup sorry to say man. The 3.8's respond well to f/i real well, but turbo is the way to go. The grand nationals were turboed and look at those beast. There are differences between the engines, but very little. They are both 90 degree 232 ci engines.
