Test Fit 18" Wheels
Hello, Today I took my car out of storage and drove it home to "Test Fit" a set of AFS 18"x9" Bullitt Wheels I have just purchased. (These are not deep dish) all 4 rims are the same. They have a +24 Offset with a 6.0 Backspacing. The rears looked great but the front sticks out past the outer fender lip by 1/4". Is this normal. I see alot of 18"x9" and 17"x9" wheels out there with the same offset and backspace. I know most of you have aftermarket wheels that are 9" wide. Is this normal, and will it look better once I mount tires on the rims. It kinda looks like the rims have spacers behind them to make them stick out past the fender (Top Edge).
Please let me know if any of you have experienced this or will it look ok with tires mounted on the wheels. I'm not sure if I should return these for a narrower wheel or different offset. Please advise, new wheels and tires are not a cheap investment and it seems to be the biggest visable improvement to the vehicle. I don't want to look goofy driving down the road. Thanks for your input. DRIVE-ON...... P.S. This is a 2004 Convertible ALL STOCK. (Not a GT). :helpsmili
