Default best fit tires.

i got myself a new job paying pretty well for me and im going to get my rims finally. im going to get black FR500s 18x9 and 18x10 from AM. These are going to be strictly late spring, and summer rims/tires so i want some info on whats the best tire for this set up. I have a v6 and i want that "fat" look in the rear, but i wanna be able to spins the tires too lol. i read on here that 295/35/18 i believe is a good fit for the rear but i need some confirmation and some tires for the front im thinking maybe 265s not sure tho. Im getting everything from AM so i don't have to worry about mounting and balancing at another place. Let me know what you guys think.

275 is as wide as you want to go on a 9" rim. You could probably go all the way to a 315 on the 10" but I run 295 and would like a 305 tire for the rear.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/99-04-tire-sizes.html
AM says 275 on the front is the best way to go which i thought on a DD was pretty large but thats me, i wanan go as big as possible but still do what i stated in my first post.

I have 9inchers, at 275, and they fit just right. If you go any bigger youll regret it, mine rub the tiniest bit but only when steering is maxed out in either direction.

My buddy has the 555's in 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 and they fit perfect. The sidewall is even with the rim no bulge but they don't look too skinny either. 285/35/18 sumitomos htrz 2's look too skinny to me...I had them before I moved to a 305/35/18 MT ET street 2 which fits awesome with just a slight bulge. As you mentioned a 295/35/18 will look and fit great too. a 255/40/18 (26.03 inches tall) in the front will match closer to the 295/35/18 (26.12 inches tall) vs the 265/35/18 (25.30 inches tall).

I always find this site helpful when choosing tires to assure you have a close match in size.

305/35/18 is going to look and fit better. 305/40/18 is 1.2 inches taller than the 305/35/18.
