Default harbor freight tire station

anyone a big harbor tools shopper and bought the portable tire changing station? i have four tires(two need to be dismounted) that i want to put on some gt wheels my brother gave me. it will cost 10 dollars a tire for discount to put them on. then prob charge me to take the two off the old rims. i can get the kit from harbor freight for about 40 dollars with my 20% off coupon that comes in my mustang monthly. just want to know how easy the thing is to work with. it will pay for itself the first use. i will just run them up the road and pay to have them balanced once i swap them all out.

this is what i am looking at. it is 49.99 in store right now. with my 20% off it will be 40 and tax. i think it is worth it if it does the job. and i can store it while it is not in use.

It'll pay for itself, go for it. That'd be a cool tool to have around the house. One of those things you rarely use, but you're happier than hell when you actually have it when you do need to use it.

I think it might be more trouble than what its worth. How much will the shop pay to balance the tires? My shop charged $10 for a mount and balance, and about $7 just for a balance. Might as well pay the extra $3. Some tire macheines cant handle low profile sidewalls or certain size rims. I don't know about that one though.

exactly.

I've mounted and balanced thousands of tires in my lifetime... That harbor freight thing is way more of a pain than its worth unless ALL you ever mount is tall sidewall truck tires. Even still... tha'ts an archaic device which = pain in the ***.
