18 / 45 / 255 Winter tire help?
I just picked up a set of beautiful fan blades - just the rims. There 18" s so I believe there 18 / 45 / 255 .
Any opinion on winter tires for these rims? I live in NJ, Just want something thats going to grip descent - I understand its rear wheel drive I just want something to grip the road more. I appreciate it!

well the tire width depends on the rim width. although it kinda doesnt matter, i fit a 255 on a 7.5 inch wheel. all that aside, for my winter wheels i have mach1's OEM, 17x8. I had sumitomo HTR +'s on mine. I drove in snow etc, they do fair. They are all season tires so good for summer as well.. I just think they wear quick.

I really like Yokohama. But you'd have to move up to 265. Who complains about a bigger footprint?

I had my father put these on my moms Subaru Baja Trubo after the stock tires were done. They take it to NC in the winter and these tires do very well. They are also pretty good when in the wet and when its dry out.
