Tire question for my 00'
I just bought some 18' bullitt rims from a friend that had them on his 98 and i am buying new tires for them. The tire that he had on it was a 245/40/18 but he took them off. Is this the size i need? Will they rub?
Thanks |
they won't rub you will be fine
ok thanks
if they are 9 inches wide i would run a 265/40 tire or a 275/40 tire.
why do you say that? just wondering
If you just stick any tire that will fit on there it can mess up ur speedo.
What size are the rims?
there all 18 by 10
10s will not fit up front
but they fit on his 98? and didnt rub
Then they are probably 9s because I don't think you can put 245s on a 10 inch rim
the rim would be wider than the rubber 10 inches = 254 mm they can't be 10s |
o well your probally right, im new to rims/tires, and i measured with a tape measure and probally measured wrong
245/40/18 is too small of a tire to run on that rim...your speedo will be off and the tires will have a stretched look. if you like the stretched rubber band tire look than go for it but dont expect it to peform well and get ready to feel every single pebble on the road.
i suggest at a minimum 265/40/18 but a 275/40/18 is my preference. |
so 275/40/18 will fit? and not rub on my 2000? so sry im just new to this
they will fit and will not rub... the front may rub if you make a u-turn but thats a if. the rubbing will not be to the point where it will damage your tire.
