ok.... my first post as a member begins with an annoying question haha.
I'm sure this was asked already but i did use the search function, couldn't find an answer.

I want to buy cobra 2000 wheels from American muscle but its pretty obvious the "M" logo center caps have to go. Problem is 1. AM doesn't sell cobra r 2000 center caps. 2. apparently the wheel center cap size is 2 2/3?! which makes fitting a ford racing cobra cap with a size of 2 1/4 impossible....i guess.
so what do i do? thanks for you help

 

paint the center caps black.

 

your pretty much out of luck on that one. If you search on google for the size center caps you can find a few I believe but there's not many. AM only has the large ones like most other places. The Cobra r's are basically the only ones that have that different center cap. I have the 95 R's and its the same issue. The 2003 Cobra's use the large center caps.

 

haha yeah better than the goofy "M" i guess. But i'm a bastard when it comes to detail, if i have to spend 1,400 on oem just to get decent center caps i will. But i'd rather use the extra 600 towards something worthwhile if possible. I'm not looking to make a cobra clone by any means, but i'd rather people were not able to figure out my wheels are replicas based on crappy center caps haha.

well yes that's the center cap i want but for some reason American muscle makes the replica wheel have a 2 2/3 cener. The link you showed me like all the other cobra center caps is 2 1/4. haha i have no idea why.
