getting a 07 mustang soon and want 22"s wheels, what tire size do i need?
I missed an important thread.
damn!
Gotti, don't get 22"s.
Here's a non-racial, non-opinionated, non-biased reason:
Your handling, acceleration, and ride quality will go to ****.

The mustang i'm about to buy is not jus some bull ****. Just because it's a v6 does not mean it's not a hot car. I'm not racing in it, I just like the look of the car the style and everything.
I may get 20s I most likely will 22s so I don't have to lower the car. I want 22s cuz I like the look, not because I have a small *****(which I don't) I don't need the car for girls I use my self for that. I'm just a poor guy tryna get something I like! Ya dig
Oh and I'm not getting chrome I getting black wit the chrome on the deep dish part. I hate chrome rims. BLACK FTW
Chrome is to shiny for me. It takes away from the car, andin most caseS it does not look right. To me chrome only looks good on black. So if I had a black car I would get chrome. Plus chrome is more expensive and I don't have the money for that.
im all with you on making it yours and using it as a car, not as a chick magnet. BUT the issues other members have pointed out are important for your wheel size choice. im not saying you should get one or the other, im saying alot of members have pointed out 20"s should be the highest you should go for reasons such as; handling, ride, etc will suffer. make sure you know what your getting into before spending some $$ on the wheels. just my 2 cents
it would be cheaper to get 20"s btw

the thing is I have seen my friends mustang which is an 05 and he has black 22s on his and I love the look. I have drove it and everything. It drives smooth consdering there 22s and really low profile. On the high way it lovely. I mean I like it even without it being lowerd.
And about the typing thing I no I no I get complaints about it all the time on forums. It's Its only like that because I do alot of short texting, and misspell alot of words just to say it how I'm saying it. And since I'm at work and school most of the time, I use my iPhone to type and typeing on a screen is alot harder than it seems, it also does not help when my phone thinks it knows what I'm trying to type and puts words in messsages that I didnt want there. Plus I try to type to fast and just don't give a damn

Everyone will cut the crap and stop posting racist things or were going to start handing out bans to anyone who does it again. You know who you all are, and its not just one person. Keep this thread clean or stay out.

This thread is pretty much an epic fail. He doesn't even have this car..
Gotti, you have to be one of the most hard-headed f^ck$ I've ever seen on this forum. You finally listened to everyone the first time, and look.. We were right! Your current sixxer looks great.
You need to do a 19/9" in the front and 20/9" or 9.5" in the back. You will have to lower the car to achieve any kind of a desireable look in the least.
You're talking about not lowering the car because it will cost too much, well guess what. If you get 22's you will have to get a bumpsteer kit because you will rub the fenderwells like hell. (05+ rubs stock, so imagine 6" taller)
So, either way you're spending the money. Spend less on the rims/tires (smaller size) and a little more on some good quality lowering springs.
Now, as far as your buddy that has 22's I call BS. S197 V6's have poor ride quality from day one, I can't even imagine how badly they ride or handle with rubber band tires.
BOTTOM LINE.
Smaller wheels, bigger tire = Better ride, Better handling, better look.
Lowering springs = Better handling, Lower center of Gravity.
Big wheel, Tiny tire = Horrible ride, diminished handling, looks like crap.
No lowering springs = "Donk" poser = Wannabe = Can't afford the big wheels.

ok I have got some info.
Somebody that I work wit knows some one who works at a shop who lowers cars for 120. 60 for the front 60 for the back. He has done my boys truck and his 2003 stang and it looks really good.
So I. Swaying on going wit 20s and just lowering the car, even though I Probly find some sick set of 22s for the same price of some 20s but since I don't want to have to watch my back everytimei get out the car for thugs, I might go wit the 20s
Then again I could get the 22s and just lower it, it would look even better. What u guys think?

staggered sizes in height would look cool, but then lowering would be tricky, as in have a WELL KNOWN PERFORMANCE SHOP DO THE WORK...not yer buddy's buddy...I dont know him so I may be totally wrong here but...from the way you described it...60 for the front, 60 for the rear...that totally sounds like some spring cutting bullshit to me. the correct springs to do the job right would cost more than hes charging to lower the whole car...that tells me no new parts...just spring cutting. DO NOT DO THAT.
Gotti, your back! Whats up man? Your new cars lookin nice. Defiantly needs new rims, but i dont think 22's are gunna give it that nice look your going for. 20's are perfect for the new stangs, anything bigger or anything smaller just doesnt look right.
If your gunna spend the money to do it, do it right. Spend the extra money and lower it.
