Default tire size ?

Quick Question. I eventually plan on getting some black fr500s, 18x9 fron, 18x10 in back. What size tire is the best fit for a 18 x 10 rim?? Im guessing...305/45-18??? Thanks and do you think they would rub an a 1 1/4 inch lowered car?

305/45/18's would be way to tall, you need either a 315/35/18,295/35/18,or at least a 285/35/18.You might be able to go with a 40 series but 45 would'nt look right.

I would think 285s would be too skinny and 315s too wide?

I like my 285's and they are not to skinny. If I had to do it over again I would have went with 295/35/18's though.

The rotors look smaller because of the 18's.No 295's would not bulge at all.

295 will not bubble that much if any on a 18x10 , I have them on my 18x9 and it really bubbles out.

I dont think you would have any problems with a 295/35/18 on a 18x10 at all.

get whatever is cheaper or on sale. 285 295 it wont make a difference. pick what kind of tire you want and see what size it offers.

K ive decided after some long thought to go with the Black Saleens 18x9 in front, and 18x10 in back...now what tire size would be ideal for front and back (i know its reiderating, but i want to be sure)

18x9 - 265/35/18

18x10 - 285/35/18 or 295/35/18

If you went with the 295's I'd say go 275/35/18 on the front, they match up better height wise.

The biggest I could find online in 18's is 305/35/18's by Nitto at discounttiredirect.com,no one else carried even that size.
