Default tires at the track

I know everybody's setup is different, but I have bfg drag radials, and I was just wondering what the best pressure setting is for the best 60ft time at the track. I'm currently running 20 psi, but I was told to put 15. just curious.

depends on track, tire and rim size, track prep etc... if your running 275/40/17s on 17x8 wheels (just guessing you have stock rims) then 20psi is too high and should be lower to around 15-18psi depending on track etc... thats my experience with 275's on 17" wheels.

On my fox body I ran 15" tires ( Mickey Thompson Slicks) at 13 PSI, but it was a hand full. Remember that just 1 psi will make a big differance, so make sure your guage is an accurate one.

i had the most consistant 60 fts with 18 PSI nitto DR's in the 275/40/17" size. the BFG's will probably walk a little bit the side wall is a little bit softer.
