Default Question about tire selection

I was thinking of getting these for my 03 Sonic Blue Mustang but I'm a little confused on tire selection.
Front: http://www.americanmuscle.com/18x9-f...percoated.html
Back: http://www.americanmuscle.com/18x10-...percoated.html

For the back it says Best Fit would be 285/35-18 but It seems a lot of people are saying the 315's are best for the DD Rims. What does the americanmuscle.com mean by "Best Fit"?

P.S. God damn rims are expensive. I'm getting a 900 dollar tax return and I still can't afford these things + tires for a few more months. >.<

285's fit fine, but best fit is a personal choice really. IF it was me and i had a very large rim; i would want as much tire as that rim could hold. in other words i would get the 315's instead of 285's.

Hey spike, will I have clearance issues if I put 18x9 upfront? I plan on eventually getting springs and id hate to have any rubbing.

just run a 265 or 275 tire up front to keep it from rubbing. they will only rub on hard left or right handed turns. i had 18X9's with 285's up front and they rubbed when i would pull into parking spots or did u turns.

The 265/35/18 is perfect for the front.I have 275/35/18's on the front and they rub when turning sharp.

I had 285/35/18's on my GT but a 295/35/18 or a 315/30/18 would look alot better.I have 315/30/18 BFG Dr's now on the back of my Cobra and they are huge
