Default The all infamous question...???

Just dropped my car off to get the Vortech SQ trim mongoose kit on...so considering i only have Kumho Ecsta MX street tires on there now i think i need to upgrade to a radial...This usually ends up 50/50 but i just wanted to see where the majority lies...keep in mind this car is my daily driver, i never take it to the track and i am not looking to spend money on tires every year, but i do want something that hooks decent:

The MX is an awesome tire. Prolly the best hooking tire for under $300. Most people don't have experience with them, but I seriously don't think either of those other two options will work any better.

Fort starters, the Nittos are not that good as a DR. They are much better DR's available and if you don't go to the track, what is the point? The Nittos have been proven time and time again, to be more consistant, but that is about it.

This Nitto is good for the guy who wants to make his car look like it has a DR and a tire that generally delivers better performance then a true street tire, but as a DR....it is just too hard.

Think about it.....look at the mileage people get out of Nittos....they are much harder then other DR options.

****, I ran 2.0's on my Kumho and they were not even the MX. I see people all the time running these same Nittos who only wish they could pull a 2.0.

BFG, on the other hand, has a much better DR. But, you pay for the name. The tire that you show I have no personal experience with. But tires with goofy tread patterns I think are more of a gimmick then anything else.

If you wanna not buy tires every year then drag radials arent for you. Nitto's last the longest and are a hell of alot better then any street tire when it comes to traction. But any Dr's wear damn fast i got maybe 12-15k out of my nittos when i take it easy.

not that I care, nor does it offend me, but how come it didn't block out when you put "****"? didn't the words used to be censored?

If its your DD I would not suggest any DR. If it rains you could be in trouble.

I want to get the BFG KDW for my next setup. Supposedly a great all around tire.

Nittos are fine in the rain like most Dr when new, i can go 70mph on the highway in the rain and be fine. Its like any tire out there once they are worn down they dont work aswell. Though i dont see the MT's Dr being nearly as good as BFG or nittos because of its water pattern is pretty crappy.

I have the BFG KDW II's and they are an awesome tire. Have decent dry traction, and have lasted awhile. I have the BFG DR's on 2 of my stock Mach 1 wheels, and they hook great. But if your not gonna go out to the track, or be able to mount them on seperate rims, tne the Nitto's are definately for you. BFG's have horrible tread wear.

BFG's are only going to last you about 6-8k miles daily driving and racing from time to time. They arent worth a crap in the rain..even brand new! MT's are the same way but both tires are super for hooking! We just put a set or MT 275/40/17's on a 500+ hp NA car and on 12psi she goes like a raped Ape!!! MT's all the way for a dr!!
