Default BFG Drag radial 2

Anyone used them yet? I just ordered a pair of 274/40/17's for my bullet wheels after a blow out Sat night. Just wanna see if anyone else is using this tire and how well it hooks.

Good friend of mine has the same size on their 01 Cobra doing 337RWHP and 347RWTQ. They love them, and they look large for a 275.

O, and they just got 4.30 gears so yea, they push them to they're full potential. And it's a 5 speed. lol

the bfg is a size bigger. last summer when i put my old nittos next to a bfg the bfg looked wider. everyone else says the same thing about the bfg's. i wanted the hooser 335-30-17's but didnt want to roll the renders.

well the new pattern doesnt even have tread in the middle of the tires, just on the outside edge, so yea, they'll hook even better.

Any idea on the tread life of them?

They do hook better then Nitto's for sure, but i dont think they are good for a daily driver tire. There center section is solid and wont be sweet in the rain. I really was tempted to run these instead of Nitto's but in the summer it rains here soo much it isnt worth it to me. The Nitto's take me to low 1.8 60' so i am happy with these.

Do post pics of them on stock bullit wheels i wanna see how they look. I might even give them a shot next go around when my Nitto's wear out.

Thanx guys, I'm hoping they will hook great on the street since I like to leave out the hole on the kit. I know alot of the guys with NDRA and NMRA street class use the BFG and seeing Supra's runing 8's and other mustangs in the 8's i think they will be a good tire.

I've been runnin mine for a few months now and they are awesome. I have 275's and they look HUGE. Just beware when heavy rains come, ive lost traction NUMEROUS times.

ha...you speak of rain and it's raining now lol. I had a pair of rims on the back of my car earlier this week from a friend of mine and those tires were 275's and the bfg's look about 2" bigger, but i just measured them and they are about 11" of tread width and the other tires i had are about 10".

ok heres the results from driving in the rain lol....20 min drive home pouring down rain: not bad at all, dead stop i punched it and spun about 1/2 of 1st gear then it hooked, 1st gear roll barely spun, not much though. Overall they are a great tire wet or dry.

I have had them on my car for about 3-4 months and they hook so well and i can't spin them in a 1st gear roll and i have 400rwhp. In the rain they are not that bad but i would deffinatly take it easy cause it does not take much to spin them. Now the down fall they wear like crazy, again i have had them for about 4 months and my car sees about 200 miles a week or so. and they have been track run 5-6 times, No burn outs on the street and the damn things are almost to the wear marks. So my oppinion about the bfg's they are an alsome tire but don't expect to get 10-20k out of them maybee 5k miles. I would buy these again but I think I am going to try the M/T next time...

The M/T's are reallllllllllly good tires from what I hear. That's all my tuner runs and advertises for (his 93 Cobra runs sub 11.2's). He loves those tires.
The M/T's will get less wear tho than the BFG DR's. They are even worse in the rain tho from what I here.

Guy I know with the 730+RWHP Vette has 315/30/18 BFG DR's and only get's about 2K miles out of a set, HAHA
