10 vs 10.5

Will a 315/35 Bf goodrich gforce takd look better on a 10 or 10.5 inch wheel? I want it to look as big as possible.

matrixpuba 03-31-2006 10:57 AM

IMO 10.5 would look better

FritoBandito 03-31-2006 12:32 PM

a 315 is gonna bulge more on a 10". It may have the appearance of looking bigger with the bulge. IMO it looks right on a 10.5. also diff brands of 315s are slightly diff in actual widths.

315/35/17 bfg dr on a 10.5 = sexy fat a$$

Zaff03GT 04-01-2006 11:12 AM

is a dr good for street driving because i have never been to the track before and dont plan on goin much

matrixpuba 04-01-2006 11:27 AM

i ran a nitto dr on the street all the time with my last set. i never been to a track(dont live near one) the nitto will last longer but is not as wide. looks like you are runnin a 4:10 gear, so a dr might be a good idea IMHO

the drag radial is also alot cheaper than the takd

whitethunder46 04-01-2006 01:59 PM

and will also wear the tread at least 2 times at fast.

just get some goodyear gs d3's they look the biggest and are a great tire. im buying 2 of them later this month my drag radials wil be dead by then and they only been on my car since december.

I've got 10.5's on my car and 315/35 Nitto Drags, and I drive the car daily. They work great, as long as you don't drive in the rain. they're actually better in dry weather, b/c of the added traction you get with them. IMO they rule and I'm running them from now on for daily drivers (except long distance trips, of course):punk:

my boy has a set of BFG drag radials on his Mach 1 and they do pretty good in the rain as long as he doesnt get down on it hard. i think they're 285's and they are huge! One thing to remember tho if you race with them, too big of a tire will slow you down....he had 295's at 1st and the car felt like a dog, then went to the 285's and was better.

You do realize that it's only like .4 of an inch diffrence between those two tires...

That's what deeper gears are for!:devil2:
