245/45/17 (front)
315/30/18 (back)

would this be alright?

As long as the tire diameter is relatively the same between the front and rear, you'll be fine. Just look at the tech specs. Also, there's only a few tires that are offered in 315/30/18.

One of which is BFG DR which has horrible treadwear for a DD and bad in rain.

The other is Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Prolly the greatest street tire out there, BUT 400 bux PER TIRE.

You'd be better going with a 295/35/18

i hope that front size is fine...

and wut would be best springs to get for the tire sizes im getting? (cause some springs lower 1 1/2 inches on each, others do offset...)

H&R sports or Eibach Pro kit, both lower 1.5". I personally have the pro kit.

It's gonna be tough finding tires in that size for cheap.

hey, is this alright or spend more and get BFGs?

Kumho ECSTA MX Blackwall

2x 295/35YR18 ($216.00each)
2x 275/40YR17 ($139.00each)

767.15 = tires
669.96 = rims
1437.11 = total

I've heard mixed reviews of the MX. For about the same price you could get BFG KDW2's. I know they're almost identical in pricing with 18" sizes, not sure about that 17" size. I speak only on what I've heard, but my good friend works at Tire Kingdom so I get a lot of good opinions from him.

ok, take this from a man who is in your situation right now. I made the mistake of getting the 17's because everyone said the tires would be cheaper and such. That is only true if you get Nittos and that was a huge mistake in my part. I have to replace already and I just got these things on in November. Tread life is horrible with nitto 555r drag radials. And the starting price for a 315/35/17 tire that is of actual good quality is $273. Just think about it, overal it's more expensive to have the 17x10.5's in the rear because you either have to replace them more you have to pay more for a decent tire that will last long. I'm not counting those sumitomo's in this either because I know they aren't good tires. With the 18's the starting price for a really really nice tire is $235 compared to the $273 for a 315. Just avoid the whole 10.5 situation and get the 18's in the rear no matter what.

That's the set up I'm looking at doing. How you liking them in the rain (if you drive it in rain), and also how's the treadlife so far??

I'm debating between those and the Toyo T1-R. Still got till the beginning of June to decide.

I dont know how it is in the rain or the tread life as I only put them on thursday. According to tirerack they have a tread wear of 300 out of 400

Try finding 315's in an 18 under 300+ and not a drag radial.
