Default Wheels for my DSG.......

Im gonna be needing some summer tires soon. Im gonna get new wheels at the same time. What wheels would look the best on my car?

I like the chrome or black Saleen replicas but I dont want 18's cause I want more performance.

Im definately getting 17x9/17x10.5 & 275/315

I am leaning towards the anthracite bullit DDs. I think anthracite looks better than black on a DSG if your getting the bullits.Cobras are nice too...

I want it to look mean....what u think

Well, csledd has the anthracite bullitts and lance has the black one's so you can prepare the two, If it is between those I would go with anthracite but I think 17 inch bullitts look too small.

I was thinking about getting 3:73 rear end gears too. I really like the Saleens but people say that they slow down acceleration cause theyre taller.

If I get 4:10s would that offset the taller saleens. I mean will it drive like I have 17s w/3:73 when I really have 18s w/4:10s.

The reason why I wanted 3:73s is because I still want to be able to run down a corvette on the interstate.

The difference between 3.73 and 4.10 is only about 200 rpms, If I were you I would go with the 18's and some 4.10's, that's what I did, the bad part is that you can't drop from 5th to 4th if your above like 83 mph, it jumps up to like 5000 rpm, I went with the 18's just cause I think 17's look way too small for our cars. You may notice a slight diff. cause of the weight of the wheel but not much at all.

Personally I don't like an all black wheel.Black FR500's or Bullit's look damn good on DSG and so does the chrome. The black chrome would be damn hot!!

Lot to consider with wheel selection.

17's are a lighter and you will loose some power with bigger tires and wheels.

I have the Black DD Bullitts with 275's in the front and 315's in the back. I run Sumis. If I had to do it again, I might keep the 17's in the front but run 18's in the back. 315's look cool as hell IMO.

I agree with lance.. the shiney lip just adds to much to the car. that mach 1 up there is still pretty hot though lol. and yeah 17's do look pretty small, but like Blake said, you'll lose some power with bigger ones
