Default Finally got the new hood!

Man, what a pain in the butt.

First hood was flawed, to cover under warranty i had to destroy it and send pics of it ruined to get a refund.

the day i destroyed the hood i had another hood that was to be delivered, and it came with a bunch of stress fractures.

So finally today, after weeks of not having a hood on my mustang the new one came in!

it is from IPP, carbon fiber mach1 hood. actually the quality looks better than that first hood that was made by reflexxions

anyways, ill post pics if i ever get a chance

You should fit the hood and enlarge the holes in the latch so that there is no way it can fracture like the last one. You should not have to slam hood to get it closed. On my hood I just set it down and puch down with the palm of my hand and it closes. You may have to shave down a pin on the latch to get a better adjustment.

ill give that a shot. the only way mine latches is if i have it opened about 2 feet and just drop it. im too nervous to push on it anymore. lol

I had the same problem as does most stang hoods, that why I would try to move the whole latch up or closer to the hood. No hood should require you to let it slam like that but most mustangs if not all I have seen do not close right.
