True, but come on, most other family members would have taken his ass to court and drained him for as much money as they could. Not some quick little payoff that might not even be a mil. I think if the NFL really wants to set some exampls, then they need to toss Pacman Jones out on his ass and never let him back in the league. Some of these players might not be thugs, be they sure act like and try to be. Caring guns to clubs and everything. All they care about now is how much money they can make even if they don't prove themselves.

I wouldn't automatically assume that someone living in Miami was an illgeal. I put that out there as an option because the guys name was Mario Reyes.

So everyone with a name like that must be an illegal?

Ill go with that possibility too.

99% of the people in miami have a latin name.

google attorneys in miami, and everyname sounds like an illegal name. everyone that lives down here is from some sort of hispanic origin. Its shocking to see a 100% american down here.

That is exactly why I said it was an option, simply a possibility, not a fact.

He owned an illegal dog fighting operation and drowned the losing dogs. = THUG

I'm a die hard Virginia Tech fan and I loved Michael Vick as an athlete...but there is no way in hell you could defend what he did and claim it wasn't thuggish. Your comparison of pirating music and dog fighting is the biggest stretch ever. That's like comparing verbal assault to murder. Take a look at his younger brother and you can see the kind of life they lived. It just took Mike a little longer to get into trouble.

wow...nice personal attack there fuckwad... only means one thing...your mouth is on Vick's cock so you feel the need to defend him so vehemently.

Its funny how killing someone warrants very little jail time and spinz thinks it was fair. Yet not too long ago I believe he said this:

Street racing is illegal. You deserve the ticket, specially since you had your kids in the car.

You should be in jail right now.

You could of lost control, flipped your car, left your children injured, hit a kid trying to cross the road, or maybe just a poor armadillo trying to cross the road.

I hope they revoke your license.

....In Mustangrn's thread about "racing" to 55 miles per hour with her kids in the car.

j_gutta870 06-17-2009 04:25 PM

wow i didn't think all this would start just from me making a little observation.... but some of y'all should chill out with the sterotypes... it can be offending to some people....... but like i said before i don't see how you can get 1 month in jail from killing someone. i really don't think vick is a thug just from fighting dogs....... you don't know the meaning of the word...

NeedACobra 06-17-2009 04:38 PM

Enlighten us.

j_gutta870 06-17-2009 04:55 PM

Its no use in me going into details but mike vick is no where on my list of people who would be considered thugs... i'm not on here tryin to argue or battle with anybody over the internetm or prove anything to anybody but i come from a family of thugs and from a place where there are a lot of thugs

Take a trip to the south side of Chicago or any other large city and it will be clear pretty quick haha.
:D

Some of you guys gotta chill (people from both sides of the argument), sounds like some forgot to take their midol... I can't believe a murder thread tuned into the definition of what a thug is

and yes Vick is a douche :D

JackThe Ripper 06-17-2009 05:12 PM

i dunno, some people may have a different version than others of a "thug"

Personally i think Micheal Vick is a perfect example of some crime promoting jackass who has never really used his fame to influence good behavior from the kids who look up to him as a sport star.

The guy is a dirtbag. He is no Micheal Jordan or Tiger Woods, he is not a positive role model whatsoever.

Rather than be a positive influence he continues to run around with various levels of petty crime that probably never make it to the headlines, represents himself as a "tough guy", and also trains dogs to attack and kill eachother for his own personal entertainment. He intentionally did these things with the intent of dogs being killed. This was clearly not an accident, it was fully intentional and it is fully illegal.

As for the Stallworth, he fucked up, plain and through, it was an accident, not intentional as micheal vicks crime.

10 years probabtion, 10 years no achohol, 2 years(?) of house arrest, that is not a bad start, i think he should have at least recieved a year in prison, however, he immediatly called the police and owed up to it knowing it could potentially destroy his career. He did not lie about it. He made a mistake, he deservs to be punished, i think a year of jail with the rest is enough, especailly since the person he hit was jaywalking as well.

mustangrn 06-17-2009 07:51 PM

It's not who did what or who's the bigger douche, what really chapped my ass is the fact that they both got special treatment because of their celebrity status. Had it been "Joe the plumber" that on either of these offenses he would be under the jail. Justice is not blind.

j_gutta870 06-17-2009 08:26 PM

Mike Vick is the man and he will soon be back in the NFL making big plays.. The point I was trying to make is that Vick is so disgusting and crazy because he fought some dogs and Stallworth ran a man over and all everyone has to say is that it was an accident. GET OUTTA HERE... seems like people are putting a dogs life over a humans to me...

zigzagg321 06-17-2009 08:32 PM

...

Vick decided to enter the public profession of football star ....he knew he would be looked up to by children...he was being payed a fortune and he still coudnt keep hit shit straight?

that does not = "the man"

j_gutta870 06-17-2009 08:36 PM

I'm a grown man and I can make my own decisions... I have one child who isn't even old enough to know anything about this situation, but if he was he would know right from wrong... I'm talking about Vick on the field not him as a person because I don't know him

NeedACobra 06-17-2009 08:42 PM

So you're saying michael vick killing dogs is no big deal?
Cause people like him are the kinda people I wish were within murdering distance of me.

zigzagg321 06-17-2009 08:42 PM

I dont need to know him to know that he cant keep his shit straight. no one is questioning his football abilities here.

Just like Clinton Portis said... If thats how he wants to spend his money go ahead. He's not hurting me. You're entitled to your opionion and I am mine. He did break the law but its a lot more things I'd rather the FBI be sniffing their noses in than what Mike Vick does with his dogs.

zigzagg321 06-17-2009 08:51 PM

oh well... if I were a rich athlete, Id keep my shit straight until my career was over at least... but killing and torturing dogs is fucked up...and Vick did that... so he's...

ya know i will give you this... when you think about it..... it does seem crazy to sit around and do that to dogs.. but like i said it is what it is... we can agree to disagree i guess

Well...

Vick -
Intentionally and knowingly setup a large illegal dog fighting ring. He knew damn good and well it was illegal but decided the law did not apply to him and intentionally set this up. Innocent dogs were put in situations to be brutally maimed or killed for his enjoyment, puppies who were not up to his standards were killed.

other guy-
went out, got drunk, made a bad mistake and drove when he should have called a cab. Accidentally ran over somebody who was illegally crossing the street instead of minding the traffic laws and using the crosswalk. He then called the cops, confessed to the whole thing, paid a huge some of money to the family of the man he killed.

Vick will probably serve less less than a year and then be free and clean.

Stallworth will be on house arrest for 2 years, lose his licence for the rest of his life, be on probation for 8 years, and also have to give 1,000 hours of community service (125 days of 8 hours a day) upon the millions he is paying out to the family, not to mention the guilt he has over killing somebody which he obviously has or he would have just ran.

This guy will still be be paying for this long after Vick has already forgotten about the year or so he ended up doing in jail.

The fact is Vick will be done and over and back to doing what he does in no time. Stallworth will never have a licence again and will be dealing with this far far longer than Vick.

there is nothing to really compare here. if the crimes were similar that would be onee thing, but in this you had intentional killing vs accidental killing. One time accident Vs ongoing illegal dog fighting ring that involves the abuse of dozens of dogs.. And the intentional killing in my view pulled a lot lighter sentance.

NeedACobra 06-17-2009 09:12 PM

It doesnt SEEM crazy. It IS crazy.
Why in the fuck would anyone wanna do that with any animal?
For his punishment, he shoulda been put in a cage with a rabid dog, just so he could get a taste of what its like.

Now stallworth ACCIDENTALLY killed this joe blow jay walker guy and happened to have a whatever alchohol level when he did it. He stayed at the scene called 911 and all that jazz. He fully cooperated.
I think his sentence is fair.

How would YOU like it if you accidentally ran someone over and the died and got the maximum penalty for it? YOU wouldnt try to take a plea bargain?

Maybe it wouldn't seem so messed up if he wasn't drunk... My point is that he was driving impaired no matter how drunk he was.. Just because someone isn't walking in a cross walk i didn't know i could run into them and tell the cops it was a accident and they weren't in a cross walk and i just do a lil time in jail... i'm done with this anyway..... i keep saying the samething over and over
