GHIStreet sees increase HP on the latest dyno pulls!
2013 Mustang "Gotta Have It Street" Goes To The Dyno With Some New Parts - YouTube
After a few more changes for Gotta Have It Street, it was time to see how these performance upgrades would translate on the dyno!
If you recall, when we hit the dyno last month, Gotta Have It Street measured in at 349 horsepower and 313 ft./lb. of torque. Last week, we took Gotta Have It Street back to see our friends at In Tune Autoworks for two more pulls on their Mustang Dynamometer. The first pull featured the recent installation of a Roush Axle Back Exhaust and Accel Coils and showed a nice boost of 6 horsepower–to 355 horsepower–and 6 ft./lb. of torque–to 319 ft./lb.
For the second pull, we added our JLT Cold Air Intake and a custom tune that was loaded via our SCT XCAL3 tuner. These small modifications had a big effect: Our second pull revealed an increase of another 7 horsepower–to 362 horsepower–and another 8 ft./lb. of torque–to 327 ft./lb. Not only that, below 4,200 RPMs, we saw even bigger gains–more than 30 horsepower! The acceleration from a complete stop is now noticeably improved, thanks to these new parts. Check out the gains throughout the pull on the test report below.
Overall, Gotta Have It Street gained 13 horsepower and 14 ft./lb. of torque since our last dyno pull with just a few simple changes!
Up next for Gotta Have Builds…
Gotta Have It Race will be racing at the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl in Joliet, IL, starting on Thursday, July 12. Look for Bill and Steve at the track all weekend, and make sure to stop by and check out Gotta Have It Race’s new look, if you have it seen it yet!
The following week, both Gotta Have It Race and Gotta Have It Street will be spending the entire week at Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, SC! The fun starts Tuesday, as both cars will be showed at a meet-n-greet, then a day at the Myrtle Beach Speedway on Wednesday, followed by a cruise to Darlington and racing at the Darlington Dragway on Thursday, a big car show on Friday and the Largest Mustang Cruise-In on Saturday. Plus, Rick and Tommy will be cruising around in the cars and hanging out every evening during the week!
Come out and check out our Gotta Have Builds during the next few weeks–we hope to see you at one (or both!) of these events!
