Default TN Open Track and AutoX

Hi to you all, I am new to this site and was wondering where people in the Middle Tennessee area go to run the drag strip. I am looking to find a place to go to regularly to have fun and just see what my 1/4 times are before I start modding the stang. I have researched all over the net and haven't found a strip that has an open track and it seems I missed the deadline for the event at Nashville SS at the end of this month.

If any locals can direct me to a place they have been or go to, it would be much appreciated.

The closest 1/4 is probably Beech Bend in KY. As far as 1/8mi tracks, they're all over the place.. I'd say most everyone that runs on a regular basis around Nashville area pretty much runs at the hill.

I raced at the Super Speedway all year last year and it was a blast, but unfortunately due to a lack of participation in the higher classes they have shut that down for this year.

I just did some research on the hill and I think I will start running there. I'm itching to go to Beech Bend and find out my 1/4 mile time, but it's a little far from where I live. It would make a good weekend trip.

WNRacing, thanks again for your your help. By the way I saw your car not to long ago out by Old Hickory when I went to pick up my car in the Whites Creek area.

There are quite a few people out near you on tnmustangclub.org .. They have some decent members, but I personally prefer the SVTOANashville.com guys & gals. They're a small club, but have some great people.

I'm not sure, but I think there is an autocross event this weekend out at LP Field for the goodguys show, probably too late for that one. I know that they do some AutoX stuff @ the Superspeedway, but from what I've heard the course isn't all that fun. Personally I'm waiting/getting prepared for the open track event there in (September?) I think. Can't wait to get out and run wide open on a real road course. Just picked up a Kenny Brown Strut tower bar and a set of '03 Cobra A-Arms. Going to end up having to put the upper Isolators back in my front springs because it's rubbing the fender liner under heavy load..

Everyone says they see my car all over the place, I guess it was probably on the way to some SVTOA event or something because I very rarely ever get out that way, lol.
