Default I got RAPED by a vr4 today

went out for a cruise with the chick today...and a guy who looked about 18 was in the cleanest vr4 ive ever seen...red paint looked freshly waxed, chrome wheels...so on the highway i give him the thumbs up to race...we race from a 45 mph roll...on the third honk we was fing GONE.....i was beside myself at how friggen fast that mitsu was....im pretty sure vr4s are tiwn turboed...he must have had bigger turbos to because it felt like i was parked...he didnt come back either to talk about his ride...guess he figured i wasnt good enough lol....so to all of those who read this, this is a warning: Unless you are packing a serious punch under the hood...I would not reccomend racing a vr4....

looked exactly like this with out the huge ricer wing:

Id race a stock one with my car and be willing to put money down on it, but your car is slow, and garbage, and the driver sucks. Of course you'd lose.

"its twin-turbocharged and twin-intercooled, 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 that produces a whopping 320-horsepower at 6000 RPM and 315 lbs-ft."

80 more hp* and alot lighter...so like I said b4..Id really really like to see you try

Torque wins races, not horsepower. Hes got 10 more foot pounds than we do stock for stock. Sure he has the advantage with weight and awd, but mod for mod, the v8 is going to come out on top.

The tradeoff of allwheel drive is weight. Average weight gain for AWD is around 200 pounds depending on the vehicle. A stock 96 VR4 would run 13.20s all day long.

I test drove a vr-4 before i got my mustang. It was a 99 and it had a greddy single turbo and that thing was probably the fastest car i ever drove It was like 28,000 tho and if i got that i wouldent have been able to live life because i would be working 24/7 to pay for it..besides im glad i like my mustang better anyways

I always thought those were good looking cars. I raced one earlier this year at the track and it was slower than I had expected but that could just be the driver too.
I ran a 13.0 to his 14 something.

with a pretty much stock car like yours, from a drop you are not going to spin tires, you may chirp if you are lucky

I raced a modded r/t with TT and kept door to door with him till 2nd gear from a dead stop. It was EXACTLY even. He was suprised as hell, told me my gt is badass and gave me the thumbs up.

since i used to own a 97 VR-4... let me inform you guys on a few facts

320hp 315tq ..AWD 6speed ... 3700lbs.. 300 lbs heavier than a gt!

since it is a 2nd gen it runs low to mid 13's stock with a good driver...

i ran a 13.7 @101 with a 2.0 60ft... and i think i could have ran a 13.2-13.3 @102 with a 1.7 60ft (4-5k launch)

from a dig you are gonna need DR's or u better be pushing 275+ rwhp to have a chance at reeling it in by the end of the 1/4

and yes SOME trannys are weaker than others... i personally launched my car about 300 times at 4-5k rpms.... and all i did was replace my clutch which by then already had 65k
