This thread is cracking me up! I also think flowmaster sucks azz....I think they are the exhaust of the past and just about every catback system on the market out performs them....with that said, I will admit they sound pretty good....but that's it.

FYI Nascar doenst use mufflers at all guys. Its long tubes,crossover pipe, and then out some balogne cut pipes.
And flowmasters do suck *** everything has them i hav esen them on airboats,trucks,semi's,scooters,imports,hookers,wh eel chairs etc... If i want to sound like a chevy or any other truck on the road i would get flows.
But i wouldnt because they dont flow well and they suck dick. But thats just me.

well im spent...lol this thread has gone like 30000 different ways and im confused...more people keep backin me up that flowmasters are the past but dont sound terrible...i dont really know anymore

I shouldnt back up flows as much as I do really..because I've been looking to get some aero chamber mufflers for a while now...ever since I heard MCM's car. I just dont think ANY cat back for our cars sucks...except for slp.

Get the biggest, least restrictive straight through muffler without being illeagle to drive, then cut off the tailpipes and call it a day

on your car, being a turbo beast...I can see how the least restrictive exhaust matters.
on an s/c car or N/a...catbacks are about sound...not power. you will never feel 2-5 HP. even 10 is a long shot to really "feel"
ppl hate flows because other people like them...the flow difference is so minor that it doesnt matter on 95% of the cars on the road.
there are so many thing in this world that are good, but people hate them because they are popular.

Last time i went to a muffler shop i went and was like look i need 2 mufflers 2.5 in 2.5 out. The guy goes "we sell magniflow and flowmaster, if you want the flowmasters we can do that but the magniflows will warentee better, and odds are the flowmasters will start to rust out after a year or so"
this comming from a guy who sells them . . . .
Maybe the quality problem is augmented by the fact that i live in florida and we have a lot of salt in the air i duno.
