I seem to recall game 1 where Nash had 27pts and 16 assists, that accounts for at least 59 points given 2pts scored for each assist.

16 assists doesnt mean he would have scored 16 baskets, it means the mavs played good defence on nash so he passed it to someone open who scored.
And that was game 1, the mavs were still playing at the spurs pace.

Dirk scored 50 and had 3 assists which all total led to 56 points, get it 50 + (3*2) = 56

When Nash had 27 pts and 16 assists it led to 59 points. 27 pts + (16*2) = 59

All I am saying is Nash had just as much of an impact as Nowitski did. You dont have to score all the points to control where they come from.
