Default ABS Light comes on!

Ok, I had a bolt in my front passanger tire, and i was 45 min away from home, Well thinkin i could make i didnt, The bolt came out and the tire went falt, well i pulled off the side of the highway to get the spare out of the trunk, Ok so the spare was on and 5 min after driving with the spare the ABS light decides to come on, well the next day i got all the tires replaced on the car and now when i drive from point A to point B the ABS light still comes on, What do you think could cause this malfunction? The tire did not sread up, i pluged it and used it that night, Cant pick up girls with a spare tire on the stang . Let me know what yall think, Thanks!

Check your sensors to see if they are alright (if they broke or they are covered in metal shaving).

For the front: Look towards the front of the spindle and look for a tiny cylinder that is located barely above what looks like a gear.
Once you find it up front, you'll know where to look in the rear since it's similar, w/o the spindle.

My ABS light started comming on once and I didnt know WTF was goin on... no flats, no nothing! After a bit of investigating I found out I was low on brake fluid. I filled it up and unhooked the batt for a min to reset the ABS light and it was done! I havnt seen it since! Just a lil something to check for as easy as it is to do that!

I was gonna suggest unhooking your battery, for about 30-45min and then back up as mentioned above.

I had this happening on my 2000 Explorer, but it was my engine light coming on and got it checked out and everyone said it was running lean, so once I unhooked the battery it seemed to go away without any problems and has been off for almost 6-8months.

your emergency brake light comes on when your brake fluid is low

Opps Now that ya mention it.... you are correct! I was wrong. I think I had my time frame off a bit in my head cuz I had a busted hose causing a vacume leak making my engine light come on that very same week that I filled my brake fluid. Disconnecting the batt did nothing for the brake light (just the simple fill and it was off). The batt thing DID do the trick on making the engine light go off after I fixed my hose.

My apoligies!
