Hasn't been convicted no, but he looks to suspicious. His trainer going to prison for not talking, his "knee surgery" stuff in the middle of all the chaos and buying off time basically. Methadone ect.

I personally don't think he deserved it, hes a douche, hes been a little too arrogant in the past years, and the signs of him being on steriods is there.

He'll be passed up, because tbh, he isn't that great.

Give Bonds a few more years. Then the steroids will tell on him. When he suffers from some sort of brain cancer or something. Hank never did steriods nor did Babe Ruth. Without the extra help from strength enhancing drugs Bonds wouldn't have done it.. Oh Well I say let them take that stuff. When the steroid enhanced ball players are older they will wonder WTF was I doing to myself. Put a warning on label that says "may cause very bad health problems" Then let the ones who want to hulk up have at it.. Big Green guy hits baseball 1000 yards. LOL.......

Yeah, give it 4-5 years and A-Rod will pass him. Hell, Ken Griffey Jr. would be lightyears ahead of him if it weren't for the injuries.

Actually, i don't believe so. Take any player with a high batting average, load them up on steroids, and they'd hit 50 a year every year.

Steroids or not. you still have to have the skill to hit an 85 -90 mph ball. The league should have been testing for steroids use period. Steriod use has been going on for lord knows how long. It didnt just start with bonds. There is a long list of players that we dont hear about.

I believe everyone on that "Major League" level, has the skill to hit an 85-90 mph ball. Having the power to send it out of the park more often than not naturally, now thats a skill.

True. But everyone is so focused on Bonds. So what about mark maguire? He broke the single season hr run record and no one questioned that when he did. And he admitted to using steroids. I dont hear anyone talking about stripping those hr runs away. And then you have Sammy Sosa, who was using a corked bat. No telling how long he was using it. I just think that if your going to hold one player to a standard then you need to hold all accountable.

Still its cheating right? Im glad for bond, but the record wont last long. I just think the media needs to just drop the issue about his steroid use. Like I stated before, Bonds isnt the first player to do it, and he wont be the last. Maybe this will open the Leagues eye's. i guess Im just pissed at the league for getting mad. They should have been testing players for it period. Its not hard to tell if some one is on the stuff. Especially seein how Bonds blew up.

i think its more about hand eye coordination than steroid strength...we can all agree that neither aaron or the babe were juicin and look what they did...hell for all intents the babe was a fat regular joe...so i think that roided or not bonds woulda done it...just like a-rod will...and to me...at this point with all the people lookin into bonds...if he really were into it...someone woulda gotten the proof by now...i'll be watchin myth busters

Living in the Bay all we ever hear about is Bonds Bonds Bonds....Back when he was with the Pirates and first came to the giants he was my absolute favorite player and my friends and I used to argue who was better...Bonds or Griffey. Then he started having this I'm black and mad at the world and the world has done me wrong attitude. That is when I started not to like him because he had it freaking easy growing up. Hanging out with his dad and Willie Mays at the ball park ect.... it's not like he went through some serious crap. Hell he is from a super nice part of the Bay Area so he shouldn't have mad at the world attitude....in my opinion anyway.

If you read the book the two SF Chronicle sports writers wrote they said when McGuire and Sosa started getting all the attention it pissed Bonds off and that's when he bulked up. Do I think he was doing your typical steriods that normal jack asses do? No, but I think he probably had some help from some crazy stuff from Balco. Whatever he was doing at the time probably wasn't deemed illegal by baseball....probably is now though.

The sad thing is that even before Bonds started hitting all kinds of homeruns, he still was one of the best players of all time. He didn't need to do this for a legacy, he was a GREAT player before this started.

Anyway, I'm not pissed he broke the record, but if he did do steriods he is going to have to live with himself knowing that and that will slowly destroy him. Besides A Rod is next.

^ agreed except the part of ever liking Barry Bonds or the Giants.haha. I was always an A's fan when I watched baseball. I give Barry credit that he was a great player before all this stuff, but watching how big he has gotten over the years is a little ridiculous. He was a fairly scrawny dude coming from the pirates and now they joke about him because his head size is so damn huge. Records are made to be broken and a-rod will be the next to break it. Not too many years behind.

Barry "junk" Bonds

Barry "the sultan of syringe" Bonds.

You realize this guy hit more homers in the twilight of his career than when he was younger? At a time when most guys are retiring he is getting better. I call BS.

I wouldn't say he's getting better as he gets older. He's hitting more homeruns, but his batting average isn't great by any means. He is a multi golden glove winner. I'm not sure how many, but I know he has quite a few and they were when he was younger. He use to be an all around great player. I still have never liked him though.

I can't defend bonds and won't try to, but regardless he is a great player, and always has been.

He WAS a great player. He doesn't do a thing now except try to hit home runs. Thats all. You don't hear of spectacular plays from him, and I can honestly say I don't think I have in years.

When he was with the Pirates he was a decent guy, he got a fat head and started thinking everything should be given to him though.

His batting average isn't very good because well, so many people walked him, or hes swinging for the fences every time.

McGuire if i remember right was a hall of fame contestant or something, and he was denied. Now, to a ball player, thats something thats a big deal, being denied that is almost like having your ***** cut off.

OH, and btw, hitting a 85-90mph ball isn't much, kids in highschool are doing that, and driving it quite a ways. You figure, you start playing ball when you're 4, once you hit 26, you'll be damned good.

I was hitting off my buddy back in school who is throwing 97 consistent, hes had offer to go to different clubs, and turned them down, he has also had offers to go to different universities, and turned them down. Why? I have no clue, hes at the local JC right now throwing, I think its so George Culver could keep teaching him some stuff.

I myself, developed one hell of a case of tendonitis, and I stopped playing, when I quit my hardest controlled fastball was hitting 88. I was 16.

They also point out, that probably over 1000 players might have used/using performance enhancing drugs. So...

Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron hit against pitchers that were considered good in THEIR time. Who's to say Barry isn't hitting against pitchers on steroids? No steroids vs No steroids = steroids vs steroids.

Just the thought of pitchers trying to juice up makes me laugh. But what percentage of pitchers actually might be or have taken steroids? Come on man. Look at like Randy Johnson, you think he's on steroids? Hitting as many homeruns as Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron did back in their time, I think is better then Bonds hitting em now. There's more games played now and he is just a horse.
