Yeah, like the car bra thing that only covers the hood.

Anyone have one? how far up your hood does it reach? im trying to find something that goes no further than 4-5 inches up on the sides of the hood cause i dont want it to cover the hood latches.

 

get the clear bra stuff...you custom cut it so you could have it go up as far as you want...and its clear, so no hiding that beautiful carbon fiber.

 

actually it is to hide the crack i mentioned in my 2v with shaker thread.

ill attack a pic that shows the location and size. it is very difficult to see at most angles, but other angles it is about as noticeable as rosie odonnels *** on your dinner plate.

i thought about a hoodstripe and just advancing it forward about an inch, but i can slightly feel the crack when running my fingers across it, so i think it would show up under the hood stripe.

so now the current idea im toying with is a hood protector but i need one as small as possible

if there are any other ideas i havent thought of, im open to suggestion. paying another 675 for a cf hood and delivery just aint an option

 

Great idea. I just called them, they said that thier cust rep guy wont be in untill monday but they do have a warranty on thier hoods and to call back then.

I really REALLY hope they would replace it. The hood is absolutly beautiful except for the crack.

After 6 tries i managed to photograph the crack.

you could walk around the car 4 times and not see it, then stand in just the right angle and it smacks your eyeball like a bare knuckle boxer.

Im supposed to call the place i got it from on monday. I also sent an email to Reflexxion about it.

there are 4-5 others on the mach1 registry with the same hood, they all love em and havent had a single problem. i probably just got a bad hood.

They do have warrantys on all thier products, but i havent found any warranty literature.

so i hope they send me a replacement. The problem is they stopped making these hoods a while back. All that is available is the surplus that they made.

good thing that there isnt a huge market, i hope i can get a replacement.

 

i was considering that, however i havent found a bra yet that wouldnt cover my hood latches.

i have a total of 6 inches from the hood to the latch.

if i cant get a new hood ill probably have to either buy one and have it altered or have one custom made.
