Default Ignition Wire on a Tach

Im hooking up my autolite tach. The black is ground, green goes to gray from tach adapter, white to lighting...RED goes to "key ignition"...where do i hook that up to? It says put a 4 amp fuse on it too...could someone please post some pictures of how they did it.

hate to say this but youll need a tach adapter for a coil on plug setup.

thats 12v key on power or switched 12v its sometimes called. Its just a wire thats only got 12v power when the key is in the ON postion.

ok...i know what it is and what its called but where does it wire into? can i have a pic of someone that put a tach in themselves please...........

Just look in your owners manual under the fuse section and find a fuse who is 12v key on power then take the wire from behind it and you will use that. Something like radio power wire,instument power wire etc.. will work cant help you by taking a pic.
