Default Tranny Problem?

So I've got a 02 automatic.

Lately I've been hearing a weird whining/grinding type noise when i'm idling..its fairly loud when i'm sitting in the car.

When I accelerate hard my rpms will kinda stick at 5 and a half thousand going from first into second.. it wont stick for long..just long enough to feel it.

Anyways, about a month ago I was being a dumbass kid and I was doing...oh..about 85..and dropped it into reverse, trying to aim for neutral... car screeched at me, and then shutoff, steering wheel locked up, lights went on, luckily i was able to coast to a stoplight...put it in neutral and restarted... and i think that was when i did the damage...

Anyone know if this is what it is?

HAHA i was being a dumbass kid too, the first day I got the car and went to put in neutral under a bridge in town.. Rollin through at 40 then slamming into reverse locked up the back, made a tire screech and a whine noise.. not good. never again.

sry bout that SnT...i kinda found this whole thing amusing, well partly because it didn't happen to me, but more so that 2 ppl did the same thing...but yeaa **** happens...whenever i try to hit reverse before a complete/near complete stop it'll grind, talk about imbarrassing when ur in a parkinglot full of ppl. lol

Does that do any damage to a manual transmission?

And anyone know where I can find a 02 Auto rebuild kit? All I've found so far is the 00 rebuild.
