Default Cai?

So would it be better to use a BBK cai or the stock intake with the silencer removed with a drop in k&n filter..?

You have a GT right? I would guess by your HP in your sig you have some pretty significant mods done to the car so you might get some added benefit out of a CAI. Get a JLT CAI.....I hear they are pretty good.

Agree with either getting a straight JLT, or just use a K&N filter on your stock tube.

or, 6 of 1... half a dozen of the next. You may see a 1-2hp gain but not enough to justify the cost.

For looks... pick one. No fenderwell types. They screw up MAF readings.

I already have the BBk one on but i think it looks a little cheasy and the chrome really doesn't go with anything on my car... So i was really wondering if the stock one with the silencer removed and my fram air hog would give me close to the same performance then the BBk. I've been looking towards a JLT though just caust they are black and would look good under the hood but i've heard they are only pvc pipe..

until you're supercharged it's not really going to matter if you use the stocker or aftermarket. I HATE PVC pipes. Gawd I hate em. I think you'll make within 1hp of what you make now with the stock tube and an air hog with silencer removed.

stock intake w/K&N drop in or K&N FIPK would be the only way to go.

The JLT is just PVC pipe. You could make your own for the 1/4 of the price.

You didnt make any power with the BBK you have on there now, so switch back to stock.

without a blower they rarely make 2 damns worth of difference on a 2V motor. 3v and 4v have been known to make 10-25hp on them but NA 2v... nah.
