Default Mac

As some of you know i just keep on asking exhaust questions b/c i still cant decide on it.
So now I want to know about the Mac systems from AM. I cant change my cats at all they have to stay stock. But could i buy a mac off road h pipe bolt it to where the cats are and then put on any muffler?

Why do you have to keep the cats stock?

rubbish!

If that's the case, just get a Y pipe bolt on system from MAC and ditch the crossover idea because putting the O/R X onto the cats you have now might prove to be too much of a hassle for something that has little benefit

That kinda defeats the purpose of gettin the mid pipe, just do the cat back cheap and get it welded in...make sure you cut the slots outa the bumper so it fits right and looks good.

nope we are not allowed to change anything with the cats at all. even if its better for the car. The reason i was thinking this was b/c i dont want the y pipe
so i thought it would be cheeper to buy the o/r b/c its way less and use the mufflers i alredy have.

but another quetion would be the mac sound has nothing to do with the pipe bend style if not im just may get the muffler from mac and it would alot easier?

trust me id love to be able to just go o/r but the messed up enviorment peeps here like clean air lol

yeah cuz the air in cali is so great already... LoL one thing you could do is get an offroad pipe and then have an exhaust shop weld some cat look-a-likes ontop, that will get you past any visual inspections, but idkhow **** the emissions tests are in Cali... you could always move to FL where there is no emissions law...

If you go dual you can still pass smog, go to a performance car shop or w/e and talk to them about it... i came out lucky and talked to a guy who does performance mods and smog, so he can pretty much keep me legal...
