Default DRs or Street Radials?

Alright I'm getting ready to order 17x10.5 Bullits for the rear and I'm wondering if I really need to go with DRs? Mods are 4.10s, Diablosport, Flowmaster Exhaust, and a FWI. Will street radials give me decent traction being that they are wider? I'd prefer street radials, but if traction is going to be a big issue I will go with DRs. I didn't search so if this has been asked before, sorry.

Matt

Dr's will def give you better traction.

My suggestion: 305/35/17 Nitto DR's. Best bang for the buck.

If not these: BFG DR's. A lil more expensive, tread wear is worse than Nitto's, but will give you a little better traction than Nitto's.

So 315/35/17 street radials won't give me more traction that my current tires (on the wheels in my sig)?

Well yea, the larger street tire will give you better traction than your current street tire.

When comparing same size for Dr's and street tires, DR's will always get better traction.

Alright thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I think I will just stick with the street radials. I don't street race or anything (IE: no launching), just looking for a bit more traction.

If you need some good street tires, look into:

BFG KDW2. Popular choice, well priced, good all around tire.
Goodyear GS-D3 GREAT tire. Great dry traction and wet traction, good treadwear. Try your best to afford it.

Alright, I'll check them out. Not too worried about price, living in ND makes for atleast 3-4 months until I'd put the new wheels/tires on.

Where do I find BFG KDW2s in a 315/35/17? I'm not bringing anything up in my searches.

They must not make one in that size. Looks like the biggest they make is a 255 in 17's.

You can get anything from a 295-315 on your rims. 315 will look the best however.
