Default Suggestion on 1st Upgrade

I bought my 07 GT last week and am looking to do some mods on it. I wanted to get some opinions on a good first upgrade. I am looking to keep it under $700 and dont want to void my powertrain warranty. Right now I am leaning towards some cat back exhaust.

Catback, subframe connectors, tint. Pretty sure a short shifter would void that warranty.

An intake would void you warranty along with a tune. But those are two things you could easily take off before brining the car into the dealer. However, and Xcal alone is $400, so I dont think he can do catback, CAI, and tune all for under $700.

cai & tune, then short shifter, subframe connectors and gears. That right there is enough to have you comfortably in the 12's if you can drive well enough.

Do the exhaust only if you want more aggressive sound. Dyno tests have proven that there's not much more than 4hp available from exhaust mods until you start looking at long tube headers.

Considering that the new Shelby GT (the GT-H will be sold soon rather than just be sold to Hertz) uses a Hurst Shifter and is in the FRPP catalog, it probably won't void your warrenty.
