Default oil leak on 4.6 32V

My 1996 4.6 cobra has developed an oil leak on the drivers side of the engine near the oil filter adapter. I haven't been able to locate the exact location of the leak. Is there any problematic spots to start the search. The car has 96,000 miles on it and has been babied all it's life, no hard use. Any suggestions? Thanks

Check the seal on the oil filter, could be shot (not tightened enough, seal wasn't lubed before be screwed on, over tightened). Also the gasket for the adaptor itself could be the source. However, you should also check to make sure that all bolts on the timing cover, oil filter adaptor, and pan are tightened as well as their gaskets.

Default 4.6 32V oil leak

oil filter is new and filter gasket was lubed but not over tightened. I'll check the oil filter adaptor and mentioned locations on engine. Thanks

2 things come to mind, might be the gasket bewteen the oil filter adapter and block, or its from the "bleed hole" in the oil cooler, which meens it will need to be replaced($$$). common problem on some of the older cars, prob due to electrloysis
