Or it may have been an 06. Problem is, it was a 2 lane left turn and then a nice long stretch of straight road. We take off together at the light till we make the turn. He was half a car in front of me. When we got it straight we both nailed it. I went to about 5 grand in 2nd gear and held it hard into 3rd. snagged a big ole chirp and held it for till my entrance at work came up. He didn't leave on me and I didn't gain on him. Soon as I hit my turn lane for work he was braking cause we were above posted speed limit.

It was fun, but I shoulda kept on him just for ha ha's. I think I maybe could have gained on him a little. My GT seams to gain a lot of speed after 3rd gear hits about 4 grand. I flashed my lights at him as he was driving away. Maybe I'll see him again. I'll bet he was wondering as much as me, who's gonna pull harder at top end..

Must of been totally stock with a heffer in it of a 3 valve. Simple intake/exhaust 3 valves keep up with me...

 

It doesn't take much for them to be pretty damn fast.....Just basic boltons and a tune it becomes 3v>2v.

 

Don't 05+ GT's dyno around 260-270rwhp bone stock? rebelyell you for sure need some mods

 

My brothers 06 gt with h pipe catback, intake and a tune got 295/ 310

 

intake and tune can get you 20 rwhp alone on an 05+.

 

Yep I know my lil ole GT is slow. And some performance mods are coming soon. I figure I gained a little with the flowmasters and bigger pipes. But I would like to get 300+ HP real soon. Lots of options out there and I'm basically waiting till I get her over half paid for. Main problem is warranty issues and wife telling me I shouldn't need to go that fast anyway.. LOL..

 

Man I hate that. I'm into sneaking in the performance parts. As it is I'm waiting on some MM LCAs that I hope she doesn't intercept in the mail before I get to them. My wife is 1/2 convinced that I am just "fixing" something that is broken most of the time.

 

Yeah, those Kenne Bell's seem to break on our cars all the time. Terrifically unreliable! She'll have to understand.

 

And the nitrous tank is just a fire extinguisher... in the trunk... yeah
