Greg, you had to know I was kidding - read the last line of my post just in case.

Also, thanks Matt, that link will be SOOOOO helpful when I install my mach460 setup in a few weeks.

Hey, thanks for posting that link, I've been looking for a page with info on the Mach 1000.......

Be careful when removing your rear speakers, in my '94 I accidentally broke the rear deck cover, crappy *** particle board with carpet.....

because I want an upgrade in sound and its a LOT cheaper than installing an amp and a sub, which I don't want to do anyways.

why does it sound so crazy?

because the mach 460 stereo really doesnt sound that good especially on a vert. i have one in mine that im going to take out and replace everything sooner or later. and the work involved in getting all 3 amps and all the speakers in, not to mention wiring it all... i wouldnt even bother. how much did you pay for your mach460 setup?

well, I know it won't be the ultimate in sound quality, I'm just looking for something with more depth/volume which I know it will have with the extra amps and tweeters. I have a coupe also, and I got it for less than 80 bucks, which I thought was a helluva deal.

The work involved doesn't really bother me, I welcome a challenge

Thumbs up thanx everyone

hi everyone.
i got everything in.
new headunit and speakers.
sounds great.
the factory system was a PITA to take out (there was an amp hiding under the CD player), and there was alot of work involved in removing the rear speakers.
but a few hours and band-aids later, i was done.

thanx again to everyone here for all the help.
