Default GT Badge

Hey guys.

I've done some stuff to my car since I posted pictures last time (Not going to spoil it, but will post pics in a couple days). I've been focusing somewhat on blacking out things, since my car is red, and i feel the red/black combo is awesome looking.

One thing that I have been thinking about is something to do with my GT badges (on the fenders and trunk).

(Here is a pic of the GT badge just for further reference)

Since I would like everything to be either red or black, the silver really does not blend in, and I am wondering if there is any way to do something about that. Ideally I'd like to have shiny glossy badges, but I'm not sure if this is possible. The issue is the background on the badge, which is black. If I paint the silver part black, then it will just be a big black blob on my fenders/trunk, and that definitely wont look good.

I've seen articles on how to paint the emblems on the newer models, but none on this. Any help is greatly appreciated... not sure if anyone else has given thought to this before.

Good idea, didn't think about that.

Think it would look good if I paint the black part red, then the silver part black?

No. then you just have a black emblem. The red will blend in with the car.

I actually have considered putting another 40th Anniv Emblem on the back trunk lid instead of the GT emblem

Just leave the GT emblem as is. It reflects lights shining on it so everyone knows it's a GT. And if you don't have the only GT badge on the whole car, it will look like it's not a GT, unless you let them here the V-8 growl at them...

I just made mine match my stripes on the side. I painted them black.
