Question PA Laws on HID Kits?

I am looking at helping my Dad get a set of HID lights for his 93' Cadillac STS and was curious will they pass it with the state inspections up there?

I wouldnt think they would buck about this, but he was wondering how the new lighting would factor in?

I don't know why lights would be a problem, as long as they aren't those horrible bright-*** ones. But, you never know.

Here is a website on Pennsylvania Codes for vehicle inspections:
http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/067toc.html

Here is the link from the above webpage regarding lights:
http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/06...hap153toc.html

Here is another webpage with FAQ's about Pennsylvania's vehicle safety requirement list.
http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/inspectio..._faq.shtml#Q01

If that doesn't answer your question, call the DMV or inspections office up there and ask them. Not quite sure what to call it, but you know what I mean. If anyone can help you, they can.

Thanks!

appreciate you digging these links up for me too, they are actually only the 4,500k series rating, so not to bright and almost a tad bit more than OEM series lighting and they are from Spike as well.

PA is a real stickler on inspections is the only reason he is concerned.
