Sounds like YOU are the audio king around here.

lol.

I used to be heavily into home and car audio, not so much anymore, had to pick and choose my hobbies.

post up pics!

I don't think we really have anyone really into that.

Ya I think most of everyone on here is into straight performance, and maybe some cosmetic upgrades. I had 2 12" Rockford fosgate p3's and a rockford fosgate 1500 watt amp, but I blew my sub's after 2 years so I ditched the whole bump in the trunk idea.

I never really liked the idea of subs in the trunk for a lot of bass, but I'm interested in seeing your setup. As long as it's clean, I'm all for it! Get some pictures up ASAP!

Looks like you get to claim yourself the "Audio King" if nobody steps up.

lol, heres some pics.

Headunit is a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X692

Current amp is a profile ap1040 4 channel 1000 watt.
Im getting a Clarion EQ, 2 Polk audio DB component sets, Got a good deal on a Rockford Fosgate P1000.1 amp for 300 bucks might take that. Ture power it puts out is around 1400 RMS watts. Its sick...

The subs SQ is UNBELIEVABLE, they sound so good with any kind of music, I played some John Williams music I had and the bass lines are so crisp and smooth.

And if I want to show off to some people they hit pretty hard and loud for only 125 watts to each sub right now with the profile amp. They can handle around 700 watts RMS for a few hours, peak out at 1800 watts for short burps, normal usage is 500ish watts RMS.

Metal is awesome with the blast beats from the kick drum, it just drills you lol. And nothing sounds better then some AC/DC on these babies!

and yes I know the paint on my dash is their, Im thinking about going back to stock for the clean factor.

Here is a pic of my old set-up, 2 kicker L7s 10 inch subs with a Hifonics 1200 watt amp.

Then some pics of my friends G35 that I build the system for.
Kenwood DDX512 7.1inch touch screen.
2 Kicker 12inch L7s in 2 separate sealed 2.2 cubic foot boxes for better impact bass. Run off a Hifonics 1500 watt amp
I built a few more systems in peoples cars but I didnt take any pics.

Default im in this with ya

i got a T1 in the trunk. completely replaced the mach stereo **** with pioneer premier mid's and dual-din head unit, jL audio cross-over system, 600 watts to the sub, and 475 to interior. not to much, but sound quality is amazing. wired the T1 1ohm, so the bass is there. the pioneers make up for the mid.

i think your setup still makes the king, lol

But i am more into SQ than SPL, ive got 10 inch infinty kappa perfects in a sealed 2.2 cu.ft. enclosure with alpine 1000 wired at 4 ohms, pretty basic jvc deck with kicker ss components all around being pushed by a kicker 350.4 amp, got a 2 farad capacitor for looks lol and optima yellowtop 4 ga wire everywhere, also upgraded big 3 under the hood

I just threw 2 subs in the mustang and it just doesn't seem right. I have no more trunk space anymore though. I think I'll take them out soon.

You may want to invest in a high output alternator like a 200 amp.

I already have no trunk space, not to mention I've heard stories of people that put systems in the trunk + drop the top = shatter convertible top glass. I know that would take a lot to do that but most of the time I'd rather listen to my CUSTOM AFTERMARKET SOUND....aka my exhaust.

Not to mention my radio goes up to volume 58 and I can't decifer words unless its over 40 when I'm driving.

No offense, but you really need to slow down and take some more time on your boxes, they all look kind of crappy. The fabric is all over the place, folds and creases all over the box itself.

I had a pretty decent setup in my old sixxer, but so far with the GT I'm hesitant to do anything.

My sixxer had:
Panasonic Head unit.
Infinity Kappa, Carbon fiber components with directional tweets.
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12" Variable Q Sub
2.25cu' custom, ported box.
0ga wiring throughout.
600 watt Kappa Amp for the Components.
800 watt Audiobahn mono block for the Sub.

Needless to say, it hit.. Hard. actually knocked my rear view mirror off of the car several times. I couldn't turn it up past about 16-17 without rolling the windows down.
