Default Headlight issue again, FFUUUUU

Noticed last night that my passenger HID high beam is not working. The driver's side works but the passenger just stays as a low beam. What exactly causes the light to changed? I noticed that the bulb kind of gets sucked in when the high beams are on. Is it a problem with the bulb?

2 things could be causing that. if you are using the stock headlight harness you have to change your fuses cause they draw alot of power during start up. or u have a bad ballast or a bulb that's going bad. The dim yellow light you're seeing is probably the city-light bulb that's also in the low-beam reflector that lights up whenever the parking lamps are on (you just don't normally see it because the HID bulb over-powers it).

Couple ways to check this:

-Take the good bulb from the other headlight and swap it out with the one mis-behaving and see if that cures the problem. If so, then you have a bad bulb.

-To check the ballast, just do the reverse - move the bulb that's failing to light over to the headlight that doesn't have any problem. If the problem goes away, then you have a bad ballast on that other headlight.

Yeah the motor in the bulb is kaput. So **** it, I'm going to buy some 6000k bi-xenon bulbs off of ebay.

Got buddy that just order ordered a kit. Hasn't had it too long. They have a 14 month warranty so I'm too worried.
