Yeah unfortunately it was a real Mach. Damn shame really. I only took a picture of that mess because of the bumper text, first time I saw it and thought it was interesting. Lol.

From seeing it person, just 'Mach 1' painted on the shaved bumper looked odd. If it could be punched in that'd be badass but don't how easy that would be to get done. I'd just shave the cobra bumper and leave it at that personally.

Getting it indented would be extremely difficult and expensive..you'd pretty much just need to have a bumper manufactured.

Maybe...we've got a really talented guy at the bodyshop in town, if anyone could do it, he'd probably be the one. First things first, though....Money....I need to get some.

not at fan. definitely different but just doesn't look right to me.

i love it!!!!!! lol...

i think that someone on mach1registry was thinking of getting this done but the company would make it with Mach I engraved in it. i think that if they had enough orders he was going to do it as part he can do for anyone.

I thought I read that once, too...do you remember which member it was? I've been looking around all day but with no luck.

PureStang 02-26-2009 10:11 PM

i have no idea. it was a couple months ago...just make a nice lil thread about it lol. if it is happening...let me know... cause i wanna get one when i buy my mach.

King 02-26-2009 10:16 PM

You're in the market for a mach? Dude, I saw one with 19k miles for $16k today on M1R. I think it was PA, too...not 100% on that, but fairly certain.

I think it would look sweet, even if it wasn't filled in with black paint :). The only way I can think of to accomplish it though is to add shit loads of filler to build it up (uniformly.) Then you could make some sort of template, and have a body shop carefully carve it out for you. Certainly not an easy mod to say the least. Or, as someone mentioned above, you could try to find someone to do a custom bumper for you. Chances are though that they would probably use fiberglass instead of ABS.

I can see where you want to go but I dont know if its gonna look right when its done. Best part of the deal is you already have a beautiful car so it doesnt have to be done. Its that "need" or "want" thing.

Take the dealer decal off and dont fix it if it aint broke !!!
Just my opinion

spike_africa 02-27-2009 07:47 AM

Leave it alone and take the dealer plate and sticker off. You don't need touch up paint to take that sticker off.

King 02-27-2009 08:41 AM

I know, but it's scratched to hell behind it. Same with behind the front plate cover that I've got on the front.
