Default painted mirror housings

Has anybody ever done that? what did you use? spray paint or professional paint gun? I have a sonic blue cobra, going with the black 2003 style cobra rims, tinted tail lights, and smoked head lights. Next i wanna hit up the mirrors. Suggestions....

I've seen several cars that have done it. It will look best if you have them proffesionally done. If you do it right with rattle can paint it could look good but may not last as long, paint matching problems. Or you could get 03-04 Cobra mirrors.

What part of the mirrors are you painting? Your cobra already has cobra mirrors so it should be sonic blue already. lol

Indeed, I even looked through his pics, your mirrors are already painted to match.

But i guess he has not actually seen his car yet, in person. lol

NO!! If you're just going to paint cobra mirrors black, TRADE WITH ME! The reason everyone loves cobra mirrors is because they match the car...lol

I assumed you had a non-painted cobra mirros like 99/01 or something. Do Not paint your cobra mirrors black. There are plently of people, me included, that would love to have your mirrors.

Well i was thinking about it...most likely not going to do it. Just wanted to see if someone had pictures if they did it to their car. But why would you want sonic blue mirror?

Look at the mirrors on my car, see how they're black, un-foldable, and match the trim pieces of the car? That's how every 99-04 mustang mirror is except for those on the 03-04 Cobras and the 40th Anniversary GTs and V6s.

Cobra mirrors fold, and the covers are painted to match the body color

I'll trade you, lol. People envy the Cobra mirrors. There was a set for sale almost a year ago now that were already painted black for $300 shipped that I should have bought. Regrets.

haha, yeah definitely don't paint your mirrors, they are worth too much to other people who want the folding/color matched mirrors. If you want to go with the black out look on your mirrors then just pick up some standard gt/v6 mirrors for like $30/ea off ebay.
