painted mirror housings
Has anybody ever done that? what did you use? spray paint or professional paint gun? I have a sonic blue cobra, going with the black 2003 style cobra rims, tinted tail lights, and smoked head lights. Next i wanna hit up the mirrors. Suggestions....

I've seen several cars that have done it. It will look best if you have them proffesionally done. If you do it right with rattle can paint it could look good but may not last as long, paint matching problems. Or you could get 03-04 Cobra mirrors.

But i guess he has not actually seen his car yet, in person. lol

So I could paint it white, and have white cobra mirrors. lol

Look at the mirrors on my car, see how they're black, un-foldable, and match the trim pieces of the car? That's how every 99-04 mustang mirror is except for those on the 03-04 Cobras and the 40th Anniversary GTs and V6s.

haha, yeah definitely don't paint your mirrors, they are worth too much to other people who want the folding/color matched mirrors. If you want to go with the black out look on your mirrors then just pick up some standard gt/v6 mirrors for like $30/ea off ebay.
