Exclamation Decal Durablility

I am going to be putting on a rear bumper Mustang decal insert and a pair of Mustang rocker stripes. Anyone know from experience how they hold up in bad weather i.e. rain, snow, wind.

I'm referring to the ones that are like sticker material, you wet them with Windex cleaner or dish soap to apply them.

Yep, vinyl. They will last a long time.

I just recently took the stock rocker stripes off of my car, they were on there for 9 years and were still stuck on tight when I took em off.

I might have to remove some previous ones as well, did you use a blow dryer or just peel them off by hand right away?

Melted glue with a hair dryer and peeled them off while hot, then used goo-gone to get rid of the residue.

If vinyl decals are put on properly they will withstand a major beating.
We do our own vinyl on our race cars, and they can take week after week of dirt and mud pounding on them, or even can withstand tire rubs. the only thing that i have seen mess them up are dents. if you put a dent in the car it will either pull the vinyl off in that spot or tear the vinyl..

and removing them is easy, just use a hair dryer to heat up the glue pull and then get the goo off.

Yeah I don't think I will have a problem putting the bumper inserts on, however rockers are a different story, it took me an hour to put the first stripe on and about 15-20 mins for the second stripe. The rockers I got are basically a bunch of stickers that are all separated 2 very long stripes, 2 short thick strips and the letters M U S T A N G G T all of which need to be positioned by hand so they are even. I think it's because I had no idea what to do at first, I was overwhelmed, I was freezing my *** off because it was like zero degrees outside and I had to lay on pavement to get them lined up right. The whole time I just kept thinking to myself "15 mins max my ***" because thats what it said on the website for installation time. Maybe some people can do it that fast but It was hard for me and on top of that I am a perfectionist so I would work on it longer than I should.
