i was wondering what the horsey would look like with out its "tail". personally, it looks like it got a hair cut. can't decide if its a good one or a bad one. heres some pics oh, and how can i clean up the third light?

King 09-25-2008 03:43 PM

Keep it on. Or go with the cobra tail

jseven 09-25-2008 03:47 PM

well its either no spoiler, or stock one. for now atleast. unless i decide to go with the roush wing ...

PColav6 09-25-2008 03:48 PM

First I taped off the paint around it, then started wet-sanding with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper to get out the major scratches. After that I did the same with 1000 grit, and then 1200 grit. I would have gone up to 2000 but I didn't have any. After all of that I dried it all off and used some Meguiar's Plast-X on a microfiber applicator for about 15 minutes. Wiped off all of the excess and this is what I have now
Besides the sand paper all you need is Meguiar's Plast-X, an applicator pad for it (to buff it), and a towel to wipe it off.

i say keep it on :D

looks way better with the wing on:)

jseven 09-25-2008 04:34 PM

Oh ok, I'll go check at autozon later to see if they have some...

and i did put it back on...it was bothersome(the paint tone difference)

What year stang is that? 99-00? if so do the wing mod and move it back flush with the trunk. Thats the best looking wing Ford ever put on a mustang if you ask me. Looks great once moved back.

King 09-25-2008 08:21 PM

Me too...haha

spike_africa 09-26-2008 08:05 AM

It looks so much better then 01-04 Gt's and older mustangs ones aswell. And I'm not really a fan of the 03-04 cobra wing at all.

m0nkeh 09-26-2008 08:59 AM

Imma be going wingless after christmas rolls around...lol

i like wingless verts. :)

Lazerred6 09-26-2008 09:04 AM

For some reason I only like wingless if you have lots of rubber out back 255+ just my opinion:D

m0nkeh 09-26-2008 09:15 AM

i got 275s in the back :) lol

3.8for the win 09-26-2008 11:33 AM

do you have a GT rear bumper with only the v6 exhoust?

m0nkeh 09-26-2008 11:51 AM

didnt even notice that myself, but ya he does

silver6stang02 09-26-2008 12:33 PM

Where'd you get those plugs for the rear spoiler holes....I need to find some...and what size are they?
Keep the wing off for sure.:)

King 09-26-2008 12:47 PM

I've heard of people getting those plugs from like Lowes or Home Depot or something like that. Not sure though, pm PcolaV6 and see what he did for his.

dOcV6 09-26-2008 01:09 PM

to lazy to PM. Pcola what plugs are the plugs to use?

jseven 09-26-2008 03:36 PM

It's an 04...and yeah, i do only have a v6 exhaust for odd reasons...but, if all goes well and the roush body kit comes in place, i'll have the dual side exhausts.

i went to oriellys and bought the 3/8 rubber plugs. i bought torchred touch up paint too, but it cracked once i put the plugs in.
