Default Stripe Removal

I've got a black 2000 v6 with a gold stripe on the side. Normally I wouldn't be against accent stripes but gold is not the direction I want to go in. (I've already accented with chrome, silver, etc) So how do I go about getting them off? Should I try to remove them myself or have a body shop do it? Note: I do not have the money for a new paint job right now.

Don't do that again, you risk scratching the hell out of your paint. I cant imagine successfully removing the stripes with a blade without some sort of clearcoat rapage.
Next time use a light solvent such as goo gone or gasoline, or use a heat gun (low) or hair dryer. A razor blade will work on getting stickers off windows, but keep that **** away from your paint.

I got mine off with a razor blade too.

lol...

well, you use the razor blade to slightly lift up one of the corners, then once i had a hold of that i used a blowdryer to warm them up as i was pulling them off.

Chill out man... I just used the blade to bring up the corners and then just started peeling them back.
