Default SS bumper inserts removed

So today I decided to try and save my SS inserts so i could put them on my new GT bumper. Let me tell you it was a PITA to remove. I got some fishing line and got in between the bumper and the letter and did a sawing motion until they came off. That took me a good 30min. The gunk on the back of the letters came off quite easy even without the adhesive remover. It started to rain so I holding off on removing the black gunk on the rear bumper until later. In fact im almost tempted to leave it there since ill be getting my rear bumper painted Monday. So yes it is possible to do just a major PITA. If I ever do it again ill be sure to where gloves when using the fishing line. ......

Rains here in Tampa daily. I dont even bother washing the car over summer.

You gunna put the inserts back on your new bumper? Or you still trying to figure out what you wanna do with the rear?

Sweet, I'll probably end up ordering new inserts once I get my bumper. The M on my bumper is starting to come off from the top but I bought some Adhesive from Advance Auto parts hopefully it works good. I'd hate to spend 60 for one letter. Put pics of the new GT rear so I can make my final decision to get one or not.

Any more mods this summer?
