Default Leather Interior/Sunroof

I was thinking of getting some two-tone leather interior to replace the cloth interior in my 07 Alloy V6, and getting a sunroof installed (since you never see that on a Mustang.) I wanted some opinions on whether I should get the sunroof, and how much it and the leather might cost.

I would say go with the fake sun roof that you can buy on ebay. It gives you the class and style of a sunrook at a fraction of the price, for only about $25 you too can have the looks of a sunroof.

sunroofs are LAME! do not cut your roof, you will regret it.

as for the interior, umm...a waste of $$ in mt opinion. spend the money on performance gains or dont spend it at all.

I wish I had a sunroof too, but I wouldn't waste the money to get one installed. If it came with one then great, but if not....oh well.

I'm a big fan of the glass back roof. It's sharp as hell. But I don't know how it would hold up in an accident.

I don't know about the sunroof but the interior varies with what you want done and what fabric you choose. Just to put inserts in my seats and doors in leather to match the paint is going to run aroun $500.

lol probably not very well. does it slide back and open up? and i wanna get the door inserts and the seats black around the edges and headrest, and charcoal on the actual seat part where your *** and back touch..so i guess that could be like 700 or 800.

dont do the sunroof correct me if im wrong but because of the arch of the roof u have to get the one that tilts way up in the air when its open. i dont like that look. and i also herd that the after market sun roofs leak like a mo.

Mine doesn't leak at all. But it does stick up when it is open but not that much IMO. Not a very good picture of it sticking up but you can see it from a distance to get an idea of how it looks. It works for me becuase I wouldn't want a convertable, but like the windows down and openess.

Nope, it's just a window. What color is your mustang? But of course, black goes with everything. I priced some orange textured specialty leather for just the *** and back parts of the seats and the doors.

the new 2009 mustangs will have the glass roof option. From what i heard ford has tested them in accidents and they have held up.

that glassback thing is horrible. there is no inside cover to cover it up in the hot sun. the tint thats on it wont hardly do **** unless its limo tint, then whats the point of the glass roof? I bet it adds at least 100lbs as well.

The tint is supposed to be a special heat reducing tint. It looks like midnight from the inside out. Haven't driven one yet but I would sure like to.

yeah I read that after I posted...but all the other negatives stand true. It just depends on what your after with your car. This is one of those "who cares about performance because it looks cool" not my thing obviously, but to each his own.

I read that the 2009 or 2010 mustang was going to be a total redesign? Has anyone heard anything??

odds of it looking much different from the current ones will be pretty unlikely I would say. Just minor changes

Yeah, I'm trying to split the diff. Want it to look bad *** but want to be able to haul *** too.

I really like the glass roofs and if given the option, would probably choose it. Even thought there would be performance trade-offs. It's probably better than having a vert.
