dude, why did you not get his insurance and that would have paid for it. come on, please tell me you got his info. you should have black mailed him, tell people on the spot that you will call the police and get a report and make sure the persons insurance takes care of it, or they can settle the matter by you getting an estimate and if it is a hood or bumber, get an aftermarket body kit since they cost about the same as stock and make better of it.

That really sucks...at my house I have a 21 year old sister who takes up the whole driveway cause she drives a car of my dad's and she would probably open her door right in to my car...I also used to park across the street by the curb but she almost t-boned me backing out...Now both my dad and I park on the curb in front so there is very little chance of her hitting one of us...anyone with a 21 year old sister can probably relate. :tongue3:

I live in fear of this every where I go. I park a far as I can at the stores I go to. At work we got pretty wide spaces but I still try to find one by itself. But that also makes it stand out to would be car break ins. AHHH. I try not to worry so much. But I have only 1 very small paint infraction. But you can't protect her all the time. anyway you got her confession to hitting your door. She should have been instructed to give you insurance info, contact info, and as a last resort, call the cops. maybe next time the dumb beach will open the door like a civilized human being and respect OP's cars...:male:

Its hard to protect it unless you bring it to a car show and you are in it or are crusing around town and dont need to park. My 14 month old Hemi Durango has been hit 6 times in the bumpers all while parked. I repaired all the damages and now it has been hit in the front which touch up paint took care of it but the rear needs a new bumper. The only thing that gets me pissed is I have no 1 to go after since these soccer moms buy these huge SUVs or mini vans and cant gauge the distance so they hit you and drive off :angryfire . As you can see I am dealing with this pretty well, right

I actually had some lady back into me while i was sitting in a friends driveway. (It was his dad's girlfriend) I parked there, she got into the car and i see her reverse lights go on. She starts to back up, i punch the horn. After she hit the gas, she backed up into my car. It wasnt my 'Stang, thank God. It was a little geo tracker. Didnt do any damage to me, but it left a nice black scar on her bumper. That little tracker was a tank!

Oh yeah. This other lady managed to hit my friends car, along with another six in a parking lot. I have no idea how she managed to do that.
