Default Emblems are crap!

Ok so i bought those 281 SOHC 4.6L emblems with the horse on them. Well they were great and all until like a few weeks ago. I have only owned them for a month and they are looking faded and have like waterspots on em. They won;t wash off. It looks like i've had em on the car for 30 years! What can i do to make them look new and clean again?

they are probably hard water stained. I dont know the makeup of the emblems but if there is clear plastic coating, dont use anything that will stain it. Id try buffing compound on a rag and see what kind of results you get.

Water spots need a mild acid to remove them, like table vinegar; Soap and detergent won't do a thing. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html has an article on removing those hard water mineral deposits. Worth checking out
