SS Inserts
Got my SS Bumper inserts today. And like a little kid I just had to rush right out and put them on. Having no fine motor skills I have got the N cockeyed. It is off by maybe 1/8". Is there a way to fix this with out laying out another $50.00?
I feel like a moron driving around town with a crooked letter. Although, I am probably the only one who notices.

i got a new rear bumper and moved my ss's to the new bumper.
Get some picture hanging wire and get it behind the letter, use a sawing motion with it and you can saw between the letter and bumper. Works pretty good.
Then, you gottta sit there and do yer best to clean up all the foam tape off the letter and the bumper. I used a knife on the letter, no idea about the bumper though, but some elbow grease and determination with a little dose of 3mm adhesive remover should get you in business. but it will take some time to get it all cleaned up.
Next go to home depot or yer local hardware store and find some good heavy duty indoor/outdoor double sided foam tape. The brand i got was Scotch, and i think it works better than the stuff you get with the SS inserts.
cut the tape into 3 inch lengths, line em up side by side to make a 3inch square, and stick the backside of the letter to the sticky side.
Next ,get an good razor or exacto blade and trim off all the edges. Get a piece of scrap wood to do the cutting on trust me.
Peel the backing off, and try not to **** it up this time.
lol......
